Troubleshooting Steps for Audio Issues with Car Roof Mounted Monitor

Postby xtrons » Tue Jun 25, 2024 1:22 pm

Here are some troubleshooting steps based on different audio output and sources:

Audio Output Methods:
1. Via integrated Speakers:
If there's no sound from the integrated speakers, check if the IR or FM function is activated simultaneously. If so, deactivate them to avoid conflicts.
Note: Not all Car Roof Mounted Monitors have integrated speakers, please refer to the device that was actually purchased.

For Android-supported Car Roof Mounted Monitors with Bluetooth capabilities, please ensure to forget your previously connected Bluetooth device.

2. Via FM Transmitter:
Locate the FM button in the system settings. Choose a frequency and ensure your vehicle's radio is tuned to the same channel.

3. Via IR Transmitter:
Find the IR button in the system settings. Select channel A or B, and match the channel on your headphones accordingly.

Audio Source Methods:
1. Play Audio via USB:
Verify the product specifications of your purchase, or touch base with XTRONS customer support to confirm whether the audio files on your USB stick are compatible with the monitor. If they are not, consider using a converter to change them into a supported format.

2. Play Audio via HDMI:
1). Check Audio Output Settings:
Ensure that the audio output settings on your HDMI device (e.g., Amazon Fire Stick) are correctly configured. Adjust the settings to direct audio output as needed.
2). HDMI Cable Connection:
Ensure the HDMI cable connecting your device to the monitor is securely plugged in on both ends.
3). Volume Settings:
Verify that the volume on both the HDMI device and the overhead monitor is turned up and not muted. Adjust the volume using the remote control or device settings.
4). Audio Source Selection:
Confirm that the audio source on the overhead monitor is set to HDMI or AV input, depending on your connection method. Switch between input sources if necessary.

5). Test with Different Device:
Connect a different audio source (e.g., smartphone or media player) to the monitor using the same HDMI or AV input to determine if the issue is device-specific.
