How to Use Factory Functions (SYNC 1, Reverse Camera, SWC, USB, and PDC) on XTRONS Head Units for Ford Focus 2012-2017

After installing your XTRONS car stereo, if any factory functions do not work properly, please check the wiring and system settings first — in most cases, this will resolve the issue.

1. Retaining the Factory SYNC 1 System

1). Connection:
- Use the supplied SYNC cable: connect one end to the CANBUS box.
- Connect the black connector on the SYNC cable to the vehicle’s SYNC connector, the SNYC Audio Inputs Left and Right to the AUX IN Left and Right ports on your XTRONS head unit.

2). Setup:
- On your XTRONS unit, switch to “AV IN” or “AUX IN” mode.

2. Factory Reverse Camera

1). Vehicles with 4" factory screen and OEM reverse camera:
- Connect the reverse camera video input from the XTRONS ISO harness to the reverse camera video input on the RCA harness.

2). Vehicles with 7" non-touchscreen and OEM reverse camera:
- An additional adapter cable is required to retain the factory reverse camera.

3). Vehicles with 7" touchscreen (SYNC 2 system):
- These systems usually transmit the reverse camera signal via LVDS interface.
- The XTRONS head unit is not compatible with SYNC 2 as well as the OEM camera.

3. Steering Wheel Controls (SWC)

1). Connection:
- Connect the SWC connector on the XTRONS ISO harness to the vehicle’s SWC connector.
- Plug the 2-pin TX/RX connector from the CANBUS decoder box into the included CANBUS cable, then insert this cable into the back of the XTRONS head unit.
(In some cases, the 2-pin connector can be connected directly to the head unit.)

2). CAN Type Settings:
- The CAN type is pre-configured on your XTRONS unit before shipment.
- If necessary, you can reconfigure the CAN type manually.
For IQ Series: Go to Settings → Car → Factory settings (code: 126) → CanBus, select 62 Focus_ECOSPORT&ESCAPE&CARNIVAL(Simple), then tap Apply → Exit.
For ID Series: Go to Settings → Factory (code: 3368) → Car model, select XP(Simple) → Ford → Focus → 2012 or 2015.
Note: After making these changes, restart the device to apply the settings.

4. Factory Parking Sensors (PDC)

1). Connection:
- The PDC warning sound is output through the included mini speaker. Please confirm that the mini speaker is properly connected.

2). Radar Settings:
- There is a Radar On/Off setting in the system menu — please ensure it is enabled.
For IQ Series: Go to Settings → Car → Extra settings → Parking radar display, and set it to ON.
For ID Series: Go to Settings → Factory (code: 3368) → Original Car Agreement → Radar Display ON/OFF, and set it to ON.
Note: After making these changes, restart the device to apply the settings.

5. Factory USB Port

- The XTRONS head unit includes an OEM USB adapter cable.
- Plug the white end into the XTRONS unit, and the black end into the vehicle’s original USB port to retain OEM USB functionality.

6. Door Lock Button Not Working

- If the door lock/unlock button on your vehicle does not function after installation, this issue is usually related to the CANBUS system.
- Please check the CANBUS box and RX/TX cable connection and verify that the correct CAN type is selected in the system settings.
