Installation Instruction for XTRONS Mercedes Custom Fit Unit

XTRONS Mercedes Custom Fit Unit is direct fitment for the compatible vehicles we list; it is simple plug and play installation, but for some vehicles, due to the different harness connector in the vehicle which it is equipped with fiber optical , a harness adapter or wiring modification is required to make the sound system work,. E320 is an example; the original radio in E320 is shown as below:

Firstly we need to look at the original wiring diagrams and standardized coloring scheme of the vehicle:

Then we can start the modification by the following steps shown in the pictures below:

Note: ACC wire needs to be extended about 30CM if required to connect to a live source from cigarette lighter, and radio antenna adapter(XTRONS RANT01 is compatible) is required if the radio antenna port is missing from the center console

The Canbus connector is located under the storage pocket shown as below:

Find the correct wires from the CanBus connector and connect them to the ISO harness of our unit:

Canbus scheme:

Typically the CAN Bus is made up two wires, CAN-H (CAN High) and CAN-L (CAN Low), connect to all the devices in the network to power up the unit
