Enable Sound Out of Audi Rear Speakers

Postby xtrons » Fri May 19, 2017 8:20 am

XTRONS provides a large selection of Audi specific head units. If you are an Audi car owner, and are interested in upgrading your original Audi entertainment system, you can take a look at the XTRONS Audi head unit series here: [url]http://xtrons.co.uk/head-units/custom-special-car/car-make-a-k/audi.html

A majority of Audi’s come equipped with the BOSE speaker system, which uses an external amplifier to power the speakers.

If your Audi does have the BOSE speakers, you will need to connect the amplifier control cable in the ISO wiring harness with the amplifier control cable in the RCA cable.

If your vehicle does not have the BOSE system, but has the audio port as the below picture shows, you will still be required to make some modifications to the wire connections. If you do not, your rear speakers will NOT have sound.

For the wire connections, please refer to the following guides and pictures.

There are only two wires in your car’s audio port which control the front two speakers. After connecting these two wires to the XTRONS head unit speaker wires, your car’s two rear speakers won’t have sound.

To enable the sound in the two rear speakers, you need to disconnect the two wires in the below picture, and order an extra speaker cable to connect the two wires with the two rear speakers of your car.
