1): CANBUS setting:
The A/C control in Honda is controlled by CANbus protocol. XTRONS units come with a CANbus decoder box to decode the air condition control of the vehicle.
Just need to make sure the CANbus setting on the unit is correct: settings - Car infotainment - about device - Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and enter 8888 or 8878- click ok - CAN type - 75.ACCORD 7 –Select “Single Drive” or “Double Drive”(Note: the setting path may vary from different Xtrons units. It is subject to the setting menu on the unit.)
Check the wiring:
If the AC information displays but the AC control button does not work, or neither AC info displays nor AC control buttons work, it’s highly possible that the wiring is not correct or loose.
The XTRONS units for HONDA Accord come with a harness and 2 AC ports and 2 harness connectors. the 2 harness connectors will connect to the back of the unit as we show in the photo below, the two green AC ports will connect to the AC ports in your Accord. Also please check the pins of the Canbus connectors are in good condition, the AC won’t work if the connected pins are bent.
It is advised to double check the wiring diagram and labels for each connector and cables.
If problems persist, please contact XTRONS customer service for a replacement Canbus decoder.
