XTRONS Car Stereo Firmware Update Guide

A caution about applying updates
Before applying a system update, you need to make sure that the update is for your exact model of device. Applying an update intended for a similar-but-different model could result in your gear becoming non-operational. The old firmware gets overwritten (replaced) by new operating instructions that aren't compatible with your model, which means your device won't work anymore.
So, please always double check those model numbers before applying a firmware update.
The customer is responsible for the selection and installation of this software as well as the result of using this software.
How do I find out about updates?
Please contact XTRONS support for the firmware files. it’s ideal to check what firmware version you have on your current car stereo before the update, as you might already have the latest version out of the box if you have just recently purchased it. Before doing any firmware updates for your devices, make sure that you walked through every step we've shown in this guide.
Reminder:
• XTRONS head units come with a Reset button which resides behind a small hole located either on the front or on one of the sides of the front panel. The Reset hole is marked with the word RST.
• You can also use SD card instead of USB drive for the update files and use the GPS card slot on the unit.
