Rover 75 and MG ZT car models with XTRONS BMW E46 Units

Postby xtrons » Tue Feb 28, 2017 6:21 am

Many Rover 75 and MG ZT car owners are interested in replacing their original and dated head unit for a more advanced system. The good news for XTRONS fans is that, with some easy refitting, the XTRONS BMW E46 head units are compatible with the Rover 75 and MG ZT.

The following XTRONS vehicle specific car stereos are compatible with your Rover 75 (1999-2005) and MG ZT (1999-2006) vehicles:
PB7646BAP, PF7546BA, PF7546BAP, PF7246BGT, PF7246BGTD, PF7146BS, PG7546BA.

As a general rule you will need to trim off the ‘ears’ on the top left and right hand side of the head unit and order one of the two available custom made ISO wiring harnesses. Please note: Always use a professional installer to ensure work is carried out in a safe and compliant matter.

For models: PB7646BAP, PF7546BA, PF7546BAP, PF7246BGT, PF7246BGTD you will require ISO wiring harness model number AK/PF7546BAP/ISOCBL02 (available from the XTRONS website).

For models: PG7546BA, PF7146BS you will require ISO wiring harness model number AK/PF7546BAP/ISOCBL03 (available from the XTRONS website).

oh and something I forgot there is a vacuum line on the left hand side of where the intake hose goes on. with out the line connected it will not idle unless your foot is on the gas.
