Play MP4 Files in the USB / SD on XTRONS Head Unit

Postby xtrons » Fri Jan 06, 2017 9:21 am

In order to successfully play MP4 videos on the XTRONS head units, you will need an MP4 to DVD player Video Converter. This converter should automatically convert MP4’s to a DVD player compatible format (such as DivX, MPEG-2 etc).

Try converting your files with VTV (video to video) converter and ensure the resolution is NOT greater than 720*480.

If these criteria are not met, you will be presented with UNSUPPORTED FORMAT as the format is not supported by the unit. This is not a fault, and in some case you may not get the error message as the files will fail to load, due to not being compatible.

Also ensure the USBs or SDs are no larger than 4GB in size and do not arrange them into folders.

if I well understood, so the size of a single directory must not be bigger than 4 GB, but what is the maximum size SD card or a Flash memory, which unit PF750 LOA/B can read?

Hi
4GB is the size of the total directories on the card, but this is for the old models of XTRONS units, now the latest models can support up to 32GB in directory.

I do believe your timing is off on the cams. They will work S14 in your S13 but you got to line them up correctly and use the timing marks. Are you using an FSM?

By the way, I found used 1999 Nissan Sentra and if I hadn't found Vinchain http://vinchain.io/ vin lookup free service, I'd owned vehicle with hail damage. Hope this helps someone, they are better than other vin lookup free repositories in my opinion.

Couple of quick questions...

Does this not happen when you play the tracks in a non-random order?

How do you have your audio files named? Copy/paste an example or two if you dont mind.
